By creating an account or using BetaSprayer (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for all activities under your account.

4. User Content

• You retain ownership of photos, videos, and other content you upload
• Public Content Notice: Your profile image and any photos or videos you upload to climbs or locations are stored in public locations and may be accessible to anyone on the internet. Do not upload content you wish to keep private.
• By uploading beta videos and location photos, you:
  • Grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to maintain and display this content
  • Acknowledge that such content serves as instructional material for the climbing community
  • Understand this content may be retained even after account deletion
• Location data, route information, and beta videos are considered contributions to our climbing knowledge base
• You can request removal of content where you are personally identifiable
• We reserve the right to refuse removal if the content is deemed essential climbing beta

5. Profile Information & Privacy

Certain information is always public, including your username, profile image, and any photos or videos you upload. Other profile details (such as first name, last name, home location, age, gender, height, wingspan, weight, ape index) are controlled by your privacy settings.

6. Community Guidelines

You agree to follow our community rules, including respecting others, avoiding hate speech, harassment, and posting only climbing-related content.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the Service.
• Copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer our software.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may delete your account at any time.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses related to your use of the Service or climbing activities.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetaSprayer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, unless otherwise required by law.

12. Future Monetization

BetaSprayer may in the future offer optional features such as in-app advertisements and a merchandise store.

• Advertisements: You may see ads from third-party networks. The content, timing, and targeting of ads are managed by the ad providers in accordance with their policies.
• Merchandise Sales: Any products or services offered for sale through the app will be governed by additional terms including payment, shipping, refunds, and returns. Using these features is optional and separate from your account.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through the Service or by email.
